may our bodies remain.
tonight, nick, tj, my sister, her boyfriend, and myself saw the dark knight. it was quite an experience with the huge crowd, rude attendants, and finding time to smoke without my sister knowing. the movie itself was fantastic though. i’m usually very metacognitive when watching movies, paying attention to the actors’ performances, the writing, and the cinematic style. this movie though, had me so involved that i didn’t consider these things until the end. the writing was amazing. i never suspected that two-face’s tale would begin and end in this movie. the joker’s part has never been more maniacal, and the claim that him and the batman need each other sent chills down my spine. heath ledger gave the chilling performance everyone has been talking about, and completely disappeared into the insanity of the joker. it is a shame heath went out the way he did. he made this movie become larger than life.
also, katie holmes is just stupid for not returning for this film. no matter what she thinks, she was definitely not above this role.
so, i have a job interview tomorrow at a law firm in downtown ann arbor. i would love to work downtown, and potentially move there. i hope i get the job.
also, if you never have, watch arrested development.
